Dylan began her hair styling career in 2010 as an apprentice stylist at VAIN, she received her formal training at the Gary Manuel Aveda institute in Seattle and became licensed in 2011. 

Dylan specializes in haircuts and colors that are customized to each of her clients desired look, lifestyle, and needs. She believes that hair styling is an art form and is passionate about creating cuts and colors that evolve over time providing her clients with seamless grow out and individual aesthetic.

Dylan made the move to Tacoma in 2021 and instantly fell in love with the city she calls home. During her long commutes to Seattle she dreamt of a space where she could share her passion for art and expression through hair with a community she was just getting to know.

In 2022, she opened a small studio in her home to get things off the ground. With the support of her loyal clientele and guidance from an inspiring business course, she was driven by a deep desire to collaborate with other like-minded stylists. This motivation led her to expand her space, and from this journey, Daydream Salon was born.

I have been in the industry since 2012 and have had extensive training with Aveda programs after graduating from Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. I strive to always continue educating myself on new hair styles and techniques so that I can give you the haircut you desire! All my cuts come with thorough consultations making sure we are both on the same page before starting the service. 

I am a haircutting specialist that focuses on barber styles including both clipper cuts and scissor work. Something different you will experience with my barbering is how much detail work I put in to make sure your haircut looks great while it grows out. I also specialize in low maintenance longer styles like mullets, shags, and long layered cuts. The majority of my clientele has wavy to curly hair, and I love helping people discover the movement their hair can have!

My chair is a safe space and I love being able to provide services for my queer and polyamorous communities. Gender affirming haircuts are so important and I would be honored to go on that journey with you! 

I have lived in Washington my whole life and currently reside in Tacoma with my two partners, Bernese Mountain Dog mix, and two kitties. When I have down time I am typically in nature, going to a concert, baking sourdough, reading a good book, or trying to plan our future queer commune. I can’t wait to get to know you and help you achieve all your hair goals!

I’ll do a thorough consultation so that your wants and needs can be communicated and clearly understood. Whether you have a very specific style in mind or you need some direction, I’ll make sure you leave feeling cool and confident.

I’m a queer, texture-inclusive stylist based in Tacoma at Daydream Salon. As a texture stylist, my primary focus is on helping clients to achieve and maintain their best possible hair, and to give them the skills to maintain their hair at home. I’m passionate about inclusivity and progress, and I strive to reflect that in everything I do—especially when it comes to how I treat my clients. My chair is always a safe space for you to fully be yourself, and I’m more than happy to accommodate any needs you have.
